This landscape is a rare identifiable Western Reserve view of a woodland stream with the Robinson residence in the background. The house no longer exists, but was an import landmark in Bedford, Ohio. Dr. Robinson was a trained physician who made his fortune in the meat packing industry. He was a close friend of James A. Garfield, 20th President of the United States. Robinson delivered a eulogy to Garfield upon the latter’s death.
